Welcome to Pack 229's web page.  Here you will find useful information, important links and our contact information. It is our hope that this will become the primary information portal for our pack. We will keep the web page current and encourage your feed back.

Pack 229 is based at the North Barrington School and is sponsored by the North Barrington School PTO.  Pack 229 meets usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 7p to 8p. We are always looking for new scouts to join our pack.

Pack 229 March Pack Meeting 7:00p @ North Barrington School Our March pack meeting will be held on SUNDAY March 18th. This will be our annual Pinewood Derby.   Check in @ Tech inspection will begin at 10:30am and end at 12pm sharp.   Racing will begin at approximately 12:30p. The official rules can be found at the by clicking here. Pack 229 will follow the Signal Hill District Rules.  Click on the Pinewood Derby Tab above  for more information. Attention Race Fans, we need some parents to assist setting up and on Race day. If you can assist, please contact Tom Herb or Mike Lake. Don’t forget to bring items for the food pantry.  Check the Pack’s web page for the link to the Cuba Township Food Pantry too see if they have an updated NEED’S list.  We have an exciting year planned so stay tuned and check the website often.  If you have not BOOKMARKED it please do so.  Our web page address is www.pack229.nwsc.org.   Thomas S. LEADERS:  Signal Hill District is hosting Cub Leader Specifics Training at The Garlands on April 11th.  If you have not engaged in your mandatory training programs yet, this is the program for you.  Please down load the reservation form and sign up for this very important program.

Signal Hill will also be conducting a New Leaders Essentials Training on April 11th, the same night. This is also for any Cub Scout new leader and in one of the four mandatory training programs that all leaders must complete.

PARENTS:  We continue to have openings for Activity Leaders. I know that many of you have special talents and interests that our Scouts can benefit from. Please consider volunteering because our pack's strength comes from within.  If we do not get volunteers, we will have no choice but to start picking names from the hat... so please consider stepping up.  We have a VERY large Pack and we need everyone's help to continue to make it run as smooth as possible.
